Done Looking for Work?
It seems that right now there are a record number of the unemployed who have given up on looking for jobs. When individuals stop looking for work they are not counted as part of the unemployed.This contributes to the decrease in unemployment just as it would for someone who was hired. The issue is that when job prospects improve these individuals may make their way back into the job market causing much more competition than expected.
