Does Freeh Report Suggest "Boy in the Shower" Was Murdered?

Bear in mind that Louis J. Freeh is a former federal judge and former Director of the FBI.  He is not chopped liver.

I have not read the entire report.  I did read the Findings and the Timeline of Significant Events.

Here is a partial synopsis.

"THE MOST SADDENING FINDING...."

The Findings do not mince words, with the following condemnation serving as the opening sentence:

"The most saddening finding by the Special Investigative Counsel is the total and consistent disregard by the most senior leaders at Penn State for the safety and welfare of Sandusky's child victims."

Lest there be any doubt as to what University leaders he was referring to, the Findings state soon after:

Schultz and Curley: Plead guilty now

"Four of the most powerful people at The Pennsylvania State University - President Graham B. Spanier, Senior Vice President-Finance and Business Gary C. Schultz, Athletic Director Timothy M. Curley and Head Footbal Coach Joseph V. Paterno - failed to protect against a child sexual predator harming children for over a decade."

Say it ain't so, Joe

"STRIKING LACK OF EMPATHY..."

The Findings continue that these four men "concealed Sadusky's activities" from PSU's Board and the authorities.  The accused PSU leaders "exhibited a striking lack of empathy for Sandusky's victims," especially the infamous "boy in the shower," whom they made no effort to identify.

"TO AVOID THE CONSEQUENCES OF BAD PUBLICITY"

Why did they exhibit such a lack of empathy, such a disregard for the child victims?  Why would four presumably otherwise good men repeatedly, continually and intentionally made such egregious errors in judgment?  According to the Freeh Report, the answer is: "in order to avoid the consequences of bad publicity"

Perhaps the most striking statement in the Report is the following, made immediately after Freeh condemned the four PSU leaders for not making any effort to identify the boy in the shower:

"Further, they exposed this child to additional harm by alerting Sandusky, who was the only one who knew the child's identity, of what McQueary saw on the night of February 9, 2001."

DOES THE FREEH REPORT SUGGEST THE BOY IN THE SHOWER WAS MURDERED?

Note that Mr. Freeh did not state that they exposed the child to the risk of potential additional harm by "alerting" Sandusky to McQueary's knowledge.  No, it appears that Mr. Freeh has concluded that this child actually suffered some additional harm after Sandusky learned about what McQueary had seen.  Since the boy has never been identified, and has never come forward, we may never know what that harm.....Wait.  The boy has never been identified and has never come forward.  The Freeh Report states he was exposed to additional harm.....

FINALLY! Monster taken away

Is the Freeh Report suggesting that Sandusky murdered this child after he was alerted (warned?) about what McQueary had seen?  Is that the additional harm to which it refers?  Is the Report suggesting that the PSU leaders deliberately failed to make any effort to identify the boy in the shower so he would remain anonymous? Is Mr. Freeh suggesting that the PSU leaders alerted Sandusky that McQueary had seen him molest the anonymous boy so that Sandusky could take steps to protect himself (and them)? Is the Freeh Report suggesting that the objective of the PSU officials who alerted Sandusky to what McQueary had seen, while at the same time making no effort to obtain his identity, was to enable Sandusky to make the unidentified boy disappear?  Is that what happened?

 We may never know the answer because the one person that we know actually knows the truth, the Monster, isn't talking.  Indeed, he continues to profess his innocence. 

NOTE:  Correction.  On July 27, 2012, ESPN reported that the "boy in the shower" intends to file a suit against Penn State and others.  If Mr. freeh was suggestion that he had come to harm, this report contradicts such a suggestion.
