How Many College Graduates are NOT Using Their Degrees?
A strikingly disappointing, albeit not shocking, article from Huffington Post cites various sources in reporting that roughly 250,000 college graduates are currently working for the minimum wage. Here are two excerpts from the article I found striking:
About 284,000 Americans with college degrees were working minimum wage jobs last year, according to the Wall Street Journal. That’s 70 percent more college grads working for the minimum wage than 10 years ago.

This follows a similarly bleak article from Forbes.com stating that roughly half of 2012 college graduates are currently unemployed or underemployed.

In the grandest tradition of this great country, we just need to keep pushing, just as we did when we settled the West, survived the Civil War and VietNam, and established equal rights for women and minorities. We can do it, but it seems as though nothing easy will be handed to the Millennials or Generation Y.
